Sint Maarten (Netherlands): Another Burglary in Simpson Bay Lagoon
Following recent activity in the Sint Maarten (Netherlands) side of the Simpson Bay Lagoon, the owner of a yacht requested a check on his vessel which was moored in the Cole Bay area. The vessel’s minder discovered the yacht had been raided between December 9 and 15.

STOLEN ITEMS: Pending. Initial video by agent used and tools were missing from the maintenance area.
SECURED: Locked
DETAILS:
An unoccupied yacht in Cole Bay was burglarized between 9-15 December. Given recent activity in the area the owner requested their minder check and they discovered that the fully locked catamaran’s sliding door had been jimmied/left open and a forward hatch was left open by intruders. A video was made and tools were missing. A complete listing will be made when a more complete video can be made/the owner returns. The minder assisted in filing a police report. The yacht was secured and owner/minder are awaiting any further direction from the police.
